A Foundational Introduction to Key Terms
Vibrational Psychology is the framework I use at AjaOso to explore the relationship between body, mind, emotion, nervous system, energy, consciousness, and lived experience.
It offers a language for understanding the states, patterns, and perceptions that shape how we experience ourselves, others, and the world around us — including experiences that may not fit neatly into conventional psychological language.
This glossary is a place to begin, not a complete or exclusive set of definitions. These terms are used throughout my work to support awareness, discernment, integration, and embodied change.
The more precisely you can notice and name your experience, the more choice you often have in how you respond.
How to Use This Glossary
Think of this as a map, not a textbook.
Read through the terms and notice what gives language to something you have already experienced. Follow what resonates and return to the rest over time.
You don’t need to understand everything at once.

The Foundations
Energy
The fundamental force underlying all physical and non physical phenomena. In the human system, it is experienced through sensation, emotion, thought, and awareness.
Vibration
The movement or oscillation of energy. It can be experienced as tension, openness, heaviness, or lightness, reflecting the qualitative tone of your current state.
Frequency
The rate at which a vibration occurs. In Vibrational Psychology, frequency describes the patterns and states you repeatedly inhabit, influencing perception, behaviour, and the experience you reinforce.
Bandwidth
The amount of intensity, complexity, or stimulation your system can access and process at a given time. When bandwidth is supported, you can hold more energy while remaining stable; when it is exceeded, the system moves toward overwhelm, reactivity, or shutdown.
Tone
The overall quality or feeling of an experience, state, person, environment, or interaction. Tone may be experienced as calm, activated, heavy, open, contracted, spacious, or vibrant.
State
Your current physical, emotional, mental, and energetic condition in a given moment. States influence perception, behaviour, and the range of responses available to you.
Polarity
The presence of opposing forces within a system, such as activation and rest or expansion and contraction. Growth involves developing the capacity to move between polarities without fragmentation.
In simple terms:
Energy is what is moving or being experienced.
Vibration is how that energy is moving.
Tone is the quality of what you’re experiencing.
State is the condition you are in right now.
Frequency is the pattern or rate you repeatedly return to.
Bandwidth is how much you can hold and process at once.
Polarity is the movement between opposing states or forces.
For example: You walk into a room and immediately feel uncomfortable. There is energy moving through your system. The vibration may feel tight or unsettled. The tone is uneasy. Your state is activated. If you regularly feel this way in certain environments, it may become part of your frequency. Your bandwidth determines how much of that experience you can hold without becoming overwhelmed. Learning to move from activation back toward calm is working with polarity.
Core Vibrational Psychology Terms
Somatic Frequency
The vibrational state experienced through your physical body and nervous system. It is accessed through sensation, posture, and breath, providing a primary entry point for awareness and regulation.
Emotional Frequency
The vibrational tone of an emotional state. Emotions influence perception, behaviour, connection, and the range of responses available to you.
Mental Frequency
The pattern and tone of your thoughts, shaped by beliefs, conditioning, and attention. It influences interpretation, meaning-making, and the narratives that reinforce identity.
Soul Frequency
A deeper organizing signal experienced as inner truth, direction, or resonance. It may be experienced as a sense of knowing beneath reactive thought and conditioning.
Energetic Boundaries
The felt boundaries that distinguish your internal experience from external influence. Healthy boundaries protect your inner space while allowing for connection.
Enmeshment
A state where internal and external signals become blended or difficult to distinguish. This may increase sensitivity while reducing clarity without awareness.
Energetic Hygiene
Practices that help clear, stabilize, and reset your internal state. This supports resilience and reduces accumulation of external or unprocessed input.
Discernment
The ability to interpret what you are sensing with clarity and awareness. It helps distinguish intuition from fear, projection, conditioning, and assumption.
Sovereignty
The capacity to remain rooted in your own state and truth regardless of external influence. It involves responsibility for what you allow, interpret, and express.
Alignment
The state of being aligned with a particular signal or pattern. You are always in alignment with your current state and beliefs, and conscious alignment is the practice of choosing coherence with your deeper truth.
Resonance
The natural attraction and harmony between similar frequencies. It explains why you are drawn toward people, environments, and experiences that match your state.
Dissonance
A mismatch between internal states, beliefs, behaviours, or external circumstances. It is experienced as tension and can signal the need for awareness or integration.
Coherence
A state of greater organization and synchrony between body, mind, emotions and energy. It supports clarity, stability, and the capacity to respond rather than react.
Coherence is the foundation for intuitive living and empowered creation.
Chaos
A state of high variability and low predictability. It often feels disorienting or overwhelming, yet it is also where old structures dissolve and new patterns can emerge.
Patterning and Imprints
Vibrational Imprint
Residual patterns formed through past experiences, environments, and unresolved stress or trauma. These can shape perception, behaviour, and automatic reactions until brought into awareness and integrated.
Vibrational Patterning
Repeated emotional, mental, and behavioural responses that become familiar ways of being. These patterns organize how you interpret and interact with reality.
Vibrational Repatterning
The intentional process of shifting established patterns by changing the underlying energetic state, responses, and behaviours that reinforce them. Repetition of new patterns supports lasting change.
Vibrational Integrity
Congruence between internal state, beliefs, and external expression. Greater integrity creates clarity, stability, and trust within yourself and your relationships.
Relational and Perceptual Dynamics
Projection
Attributing internal states, beliefs, or unresolved material onto others. Awareness of projection allows you to reclaim responsibility for your experience.
Attunement
The ability to sense and respond to another person or environment while maintaining awareness of your own internal state. Skilled attunement supports connection without self-abandonment.
Anchoring
The process of stabilizing a state through repeated attention, practice, and embodiment. What is consistently anchored becomes your baseline way of operating.
Entanglement Release
The process of disengaging from patterns, attachments, or dynamics that are no longer aligned. This restores autonomy and clarity.
Change and Transformation
Energetic Activation
A sudden increase in awareness, sensation, perception, or insight where new possibilities or capacities become available. Without sufficient regulation and integration, activations can feel destabilizing.
Empowerment
The process of reclaiming agency over your internal state, choices, and responses. It shifts you from unconscious reaction towards intentional participation in your life.
Frequency Stewardship
Ongoing responsibility for the quality and consistency of your state. It includes what you practice, allow, reinforce, and give attention to.
Timeline
A trajectory of experience shaped by repeated states, choices, behaviours, and circumstances. Shifting your internal state changes the direction your life takes.
Field and Interaction Concepts
Perceptual Capacity
The capacity to perceive beyond the familiar, linear, physical experience of reality. It involves developing greater attunement and working with heightened sensitivity to subtle information within yourself, your relationships, the world around you, and the universe.
Multidimensional
The understanding that human experience extends beyond a single, linear physical reality. Multidimensional awareness is the capacity to perceive, access, and work with information across different dimensions of self, relationship, consciousness, and existence.
Quantum
A realm of possibility in which all potential exists and the boundaries of past, present, and future become less fixed. Within AjaOso, quantum language describes working with this field of possibility — accessing information, shifting patterns, and consciously participating in change.
Energy Field
The combined physical, relational, and subtle energetic system surrounding and interacting with you. It holds and communicates information.
Energetic Feedback
Information received through the body, relationships, or environment that reflects your current state. It provides information for awareness, discernment, and adjustment.
Resonant Choice
Decision-making guided by a sense of internal congruence with your values, current state, and deeper knowing. These choices reinforce coherence and long term stability.
These definitions reflect the language and framework used throughout AjaOso. They are intended as a starting point for exploration rather than fixed or universal definitions.
Vibrational Psychology lives at the intersection of psychology, embodiment, energy, spirituality, consciousness, and lived experience — leaving room for both discernment and mystery.
If this language feels familiar, you may be ready to explore the work more deeply.
